Answer:   A and B are matrices of order 3 × and × 5 respectively

To Find :   the  order of matrix 5A – 3B, given that it is defined.

Solution:

Let say order of Matrix A  = 3 x  m

order of Matrix  B   = n  x  5

5A  Matrix order =  3 x  m

3B  Matrix order  = n x  5

5A – 3B  is Defined

Hence order of matrix of 5A & 3B would be same

Hence   3 x m  = n  x  5

3 = n

m = 5

5A  Matrix order =  3 x  5

3B  Matrix order = 3 x 5

Hence order of matrix 5A – 3B   = 3 x 5
