One place you say matter are made up of atoms amd other place matter is made up of particles. Do mean that atoms and particles are same?? Or they are different then what connects these two concepts..

Matter is made up of particles. Those particles are only defined as atoms. And if two or more atoms are combined, they form molecule.
Atoms are individual particles which cannot be damaged into physical and chemical changes.
