it is not wrong to say that everyone who came in contact with griffin suffered. but this is not the case with marvel. marvel was a tramp and was homeless and jobless. he survived mainly on the charity given to him.
griffin used him as a "visible" partner in establishing a reign of terror. he stole money from many people and the money used to accumulate in griffin's pockets. so, when marvel escaped frm the clutches of griffin, he was blessed as he had the 3 volumes containing the secret of invisibility as well as the money. as it couldn't b claimed whose money it was therefore marvel was allowed to keep the money. he became rich overnight. therefore marvel considered himself lucky at the end of the story to be a part of the "invisible man"theory.
