Answer:

In sociology, social action, also known as Weberian social action, refers to an act which takes into the account of actions and reactions of individuals (or 'agents'). According to Max Weber, "an Action is 'social' if the acting individual takes account of the behavior of others and is thereby oriented in its course".

Max Weber gave the interpretative understanding of social action. In this opinion, human actions are meaningful attributes of the actors guided by emotions. He said that in other words, the social action of an actor has certain meaning behind his actions which are guided by emotions. According to Weber, a sociologist should understand the actions of others by standing in his shoes, empathetically and not sympathetically. Hence, a sociologist should systematically record the subjective meanings of an actor systematically without alluring one's own personal values or beliefs to interfere.
