maximum triangle that can be inscribed in semicircle of radius R is that which should have base equal to diameter of circle and height equal to radius of circle....
so for that triangle......
base,b= diameter = 2*radius = 2R
height,h= radius. = R
so, area = 1/2 * b * h
= 1/2 * 2R * R
= R² sq. units.........
