Hi ,

Given Maximum day time temperature

of Hyderabad in a week ( from 26th

February to 4th March , 2011 )

are recorded as

26°C , 27°C , 30°C , 30°C, 32°C, 33°C,

and 32°C

mean = ( sum of temperatures)/number of days

mean = (26+27+30+30+32+33+32)/7

= 210/7

= 30

Therefore ,

Average temperature of the week

= 30°C

Average = \dfrac{\text{sum of all observations}}{\text{total number of observations}}

In the question :
Maximum day time temperatures of Hyderabad in a week { from 26th February to 4th March 2011 } are recorded as 26°C, 27°C, 30°C, 30°C, 32°C, 33°C and 32°C.

sum of maximum day time temperature of Hyderabad = 26°C + 27°C + 30°C + 30°C + 32°C + 33°C + 32°C

sum of maximum day time temperature of Hyderabad = 210°C

total number of temperatures = 7

Therefore :

Average of day time temperatures of Hyderabad in a week = { sum of maximum day time temperatures of Hyderabad } ÷ { total number of temperatures {

Average = 210°C / 7

Average = 30°C

Therefore,
Average of maximum day time temperatures of Hyderabad in a week is 30°C
