from same side or from the opposite sides? Give reason in support of your answer.

They should push the box from the same side.

• If they push the force from the same side then the output force will be the greatest because the total force will be the sum of their forces.
• While if they push in the opposite directions then their forces will cancel out to an extent and if they both were pushing with same magnitude of force then the old trunk will not move at all.
