• Mukta paid = Rs. d

So,

→ a + b + c + d = 60 --------- Eqn.(1)

now,

→ Maya paid = (1/2)[ other girls paid ]

→ a = (1/2)(b + c + d)

→ 2a = (b + c + d)

putting in Eqn.(1),

→ a + 2a = 60

→ 3a = 60

→ a = Rs.20 ----- Eqn.(2)

and,

→ Meena paid = (1/3)[ other girls paid ]

→ b = (1/3)(a + c + d)

→ 3b = (a + c + d)

putting in Eqn.(1),

→ b + 3b = 60

→ 4b = 60

→ b = Rs.15 ------ Eqn.(3)

and,

→ Mini paid = (1/4)[ other girls paid ]

→ c = (1/4)(a + b + d)

→ 4c = (a + b + d)

putting in Eqn.(1),

→ c + 4c = 60

→ 5c = 60

→ c = Rs.12 ------ Eqn.(4)

therefore, putting values from Eqn.(2), (3) and (4) in Eqn.(1) we get,

→ 20 + 15 + 12 + d = 60

→ 47 + d = 60

→ d = 60 - 47

→ d = Rs.13 (Ans.)

Hence, the amount paid by Mukta is was Rs.13 .
