\sf\Large{\underline{\underline{Answer:-}}}

\underline{\sf{\pink{Given,,}}}

  • CP of machine = ₹28200
  • Transportation cost = ₹1300
  • Tax = ₹500
  • SP of machine = ₹27000

\underline{\sf{\green{Find:-,}}}

  • what was his percent of profit or loss?

\underline{\sf{\purple{Therefore;,}}}

  • Total CP = ₹28200 + ₹1300 + ₹500 = ₹30,000
  • SP = ₹27000
  • Loss = CP - SP = ₹30000 – ₹27000 = ₹3000

\begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\;thus\;,\;\bf{cp \:  >  \: sp}}\end{gathered}

As, CP > SP so, Loss is made.

─────────────────────

✶ Now finding loss%,

Formula using here,

\begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\;loss\;=\;\bf{\dfrac{loss}{cp}\: \times 100}}\end{gathered}

\LongrightarrowSubstitute the values,

\begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\;loss\;=\;\bf{\dfrac{3000}{30000}\: \times 100}}\end{gathered}

\LongrightarrowMultiply 3000 by 100.

\begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\;loss\;=\;\bf{\dfrac{300000}{30000}\:}}\end{gathered}

\LongrightarrowCancel 0 by 0

\begin{gathered}\\\;\sf{:\rightarrow\;\;loss\;=\;\bf{\dfrac{30}{3}\: }}\end{gathered}

\LongrightarrowCancel them.

Loss = \sf{\cancel\dfrac{30}{3}} 10%

\sf\underbrace{Hence,}

Mayank made a loss of 10%.
