**करा खरेदी 100 रूपया मध्ये 100 वस्तू जो कोणी 3 तासा मध्ये उत्तर देईल​

• Number of sparrows = x
• Number of parrots = y
• Number of hens = z

Note - none of x, y, z is zero or not even a fraction. They must be positive integers.

Solution:

Here we form two equations,

• Total quantity: x + y + z = 100
• Total money: x/10 + 2y + 5z = 100

We see that we have two equations with three variables; this creates and impossibility of direct solution.

y + z = 100 - x ..... (i)

2y + 5z = 100 - x/10 ..... (ii)

(ii) - 2 * (i) >>>

2y + 5z - 2y - 2z = 100 - x/10 - 200 + 2x

or, 3z = 19x/10 - 100

or, z = (19x - 1000)/30

For a positive value of (19x - 1000)/30,

19x - 1000 > 0

or, x > 1000/19

or, x > 52 + 12/19

or, x > 52

You see, there is 30 in denominator; that is why we must have such values of x for which in numerator, we will get a multiple of 10.

We take x = 60, 70, 80, 90.

• When x = 80, z = 52/3
• When x = 90, z = 71/3

Then x = 70, z = 11, y = 19
