It's simple. Why do people do the things they do? They seek their Well-being, everyone does.
They think it will make them happy. Or in this case BRAINLY wasn't giving what they wanted...
A better question to ask is- why don't they care coming back to BRAINLY instead of just of leaving it like forever and ?
And what can BRAINLY do to atleast lessen the process?
I would say unless the process of learning doesn't become a process of JOY, this WILL HAPPEN. What BRAINLY can ,is and should do more is create ways and tools to heighten engagement to foster CURIOSITY and wonder.
When learners really really ASK anything and everything, then they would really STAY and STAY for good.
They won't think about deactivating.
Already BRAINLY IS doing great job. The key to great Engagement is , Answer-Givers who can heighten the Learners CURIOSITY and Wonder. That needs TRUE work and dedication.

Psychology is way too complex than we think.Your answer to the question lies in the word Addiction.
Probably they know that brainly has become an addiction for them and to leave it there is only a way to delete their account.According to me deleting account can never be a solution to the brainly addiction, as they can come back with a new account, Or re-activate their old ones.
SOLUTIONS TO BRAINLY ADDICTION:
1.Fix a time limit.
2.Don’t write answers/ ask questions daily.
3.Use BRAINLY frequently( only in leisure time).
4.Use BRAINLY it to cultivate a writing habit.( DON'T SPAM).
5.Try NOT to reply all the comments and messages.

BRAINLY is a knowledge sharing site. It is very effective for us if we use it intelligently and sagaciously. But at the end of the day, it is a just a virtual world.
