Chloroplast are the double membrane bound organelle having outer and inner layer. The space enclosed by the inner membrane is called stroma. Stroma contain large no. of thylakoids which are arranged in stack like the piles of coin called grana.

Light reaction takes place in thylakoids whereas dark reaction takes place in the stroma that is outside the thylakoids.
