Formula of mean= sum of observations/ number of observations

Mode= the most accurately repeated number in a given data.

Median= the middle number of the data after arranging the data in increasing or decreasing order.

Hope this helps. ^_^

Hi there!

What is Mean?

The average of a given set of numbers is called the Arithmetic mean, or simply the mean, of the given numbers.

Mean = \frac{Sum \: of \: observations }{Number \: of \: observations }

What is Median?

After arranging the given data in the ascending or descending order of magnitude, the value of the middle most observation, is called the median of the data.

Formula to find the median :)

Method : Arrange the data in increasing or decreasing order of magnitude. Let the total number of observation be n.

(i) If n is odd, then median

⇒ Value of \mathsf{( \frac{n + 1}{2} )\th} observation.

(ii) If n is even, then median

⇒ mean of \mathsf{( \frac{n}{2} )\th} and \mathsf{( \frac{n}{2} + 1 )\th} observations.

What is mode?

Mode is the most frequently occurring observation.

At first arrange the data in ascending or descending order and then count the most occurring digit.
