let X1 be 9 and X6 be 19.

mean =  \frac{sum \: of \: variates}{number \: of \: variates}

mean =  \frac{9 + 13 + p + 11 + 18 + 19}{6}

mean =  \frac{70 + p}{6}

Given that the mean of variates is 'p'

p =  \frac{7 0 + p}{6}

6p = 70 + p

6p - p = 70

5p = 70

p  =  \frac{70}{5}

p= 14

therefore , The value of p is 14
