first 5 multiples of 2 = 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 , 10

their sum = 2( 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 )
their sum = 2( 15 )
their sum = 30 --------:( 1 )

We know ,Mean = ( sum of observations ) ÷ ( number of observations )

Hence,

Mean = ( sum of first 5 multiples of 2 ) / 5

putting value from ( 1 )

mean = 30 / 5

mean = 6
.
