Let the four observation be a,b,c and d .Mean=12⇒a+b+c+d4=12
New mean=a−1+b−2+c−3+d−44
=a+b+c+d4−104
=12−2.5
=9.5
New mean=a−1+b−2+c−3+d−44
=a+b+c+d4−104
=12−2.5
=9.5
