Answer:

Given,

Data :-

3 , 9 , 4 , 3 , 5 , 6 , 3 , 8

To Find :-

Mean , Mode and Median of the Data.

Solution :-

Mean = \sf\dfrac{Sum\: of\: the\: Observactions}{Number\: of\: Observations}

Sum of the Observations = 3 + 9 + 4 + 3 + 5 + 6 + 3 + 8

= 41

Number of Observations = 8

Mean = \sf\dfrac{41}{8}

Mode = Frequently repeated number in the given data.

i.e

3

3 is repeated three times in the given data.

Median it is the middle number in the given data when it is in ascending order.

Arranging in Ascending Order :-

3 , 3 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 8 , 9

As number of Observations = 8

To find median we need to add both the middle terms and divide them by 2.

Median = \sf\dfrac{4 + 5}{2}

= \sf\dfrac{9}{2}

= 4.5

Median = 4.5

\sf\therefore Mean , Mode , Median = \sf\dfrac{41}{8} , 3 , 4.5
