Used Formula :-

\displaystyle  \pink⇝\boxed{  \sf Mean =  \boxed{ \sf\frac{Sum  \: of  \: Observations }{Total  \: number  \: of  \: Observations}}}

 \:

 \:

Solution :-

\displaystyle   \pink ⟹ \: \color{blue}\sf Mean = \frac{Sum  \: of  \: Observations }{Total  \: number  \: of  \: Observations}

\displaystyle   \pink ⟹ \: \color{blue}\sf Mean = \frac{10 + 20 + 30 + 40 }{4}

\displaystyle   \pink ⟹ \: \color{blue}\sf Mean =  \cancel\frac{100 }{4}

\displaystyle   \pink ⟹ \:  \large\colorbox{deeppink}{\color{blue}\bf Mean =  25}

  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

              Given data:- 10,20,30,\ and\ 40.

              To find:- Value of mean.

              Solution:-

  • We know that mean is an arithmetic average of all numbers.

               mean=\frac{Sum\  of \ all \ number}{Total\ number\  of \ observation}

              Therefore,

               mean=\frac{10+20+30+40}{4} \\mean=\frac{100}{4} \\mean=25.

           Hence we will get mean of 10,20,30,\ and\ 40 is 25.
