Mean of Perimeter of 2 squares having sides x and y unit.

Perimeter of first square = 4x units
Perimeter of second square = 4y units

No. of terms (n) =2

Mean = (4x+4y)/n = 4(x+y)/2 = 2(x+y) units

Perimeter of the sq of side x = 4x
Perimeter of the sq of side y = 4y
Total Perimeter = 4x + 4y 
Mean = (4x+4y)/2
Mean = 2x+2y units
