Let sum of 50 numbers which includes wrong reading 69 be x, then

x/50=80.4

Means x=50*80.4=4020

But 96 was misread as 69 ie a difference of 27 was not included.

So and that difference to x=4020 now and calculate new average ie

(4020+27)/50=80.94

Thus new average is 80.94
