Bring Up

Phrasal verb is a verb combined with an adverb or a preposition, or sometimes both, to give a new meaning, for example go in for, win over and see to.

There are many phrasal verbs. ‘Bring up’ is also a phrasal verb and has the following meanings:

1. To care for a child by teaching him/her how to behave.  

2. In law to bring up means to make somebody appear for a trial.

3. If you bring something up you mention it and begin talking about it.

4. It also means to vomit.

5. It also means to make something appear on a computer screen.
