Chronic: A disease that lasts for a longer period of time and may be for whole life is called chronic disease. For ex - TB, Diabetes. It may cause harm to body.

Acute: A disease that lasts for a shorter period of time. For ex cough, Cold. It doesn't cause harm to body.
