diversities means variety. for e.g., India, unity in diversity means even though people in India have different backgrounds, they all live together in one country.

Diversity means the state of being different from each other. Diversity is one of the common term used in India due to it's ranging diversity in people and places.
Here is some information about diversity in India:
> Diversity in religion: In India, there is no official religion which states that we are free to practice any religion. Thus, India has different religions living like Hinduism, christianity, jainism, Islam, etc.
> Diversity in education: Not everyone in our country are educated to the same level. Some are highly educated but some are uneducated.
> Diversity in language: In our country, every person has different language to communicate. There are more than 1700+ languages in India, with 122 of them the major ones.
> Diversity in geography: India is divided into 6 regions: Himalayas, northern plains, Deccan plateau, Thar desert, coastal plains and the islands.
> Social diversity: India has people following different food interests, dresses and manners showing social diversity.
Even when we are completely diverse from each other, we all stay in one country together as Indians!
