Meaning of insulation breakdown?
Very simple........
If the wire (live or neutral) through which current is flowing gets heated up, the plastic cover of it melts, due to which insulation of the wire breaks...if you come in contact with such wire, you will get a fatal shock.
Further if the live wire comes in contact with the neutral wire, there will be a short circuit.
So, always check insulation of wires every year.
