or in Japanese it means
in Japan a young person who is obsessed with computers or particular aspects of popular culture to the detriment of their social skills.

Otakus are simply called Anime fans internationally. But in Japan, it's a little brief meaning. There Otakus are called those people who are very connected with Anime, Manga, Computer and electronics.. In Japan it's not a positive attitude!!!
