‘The Tale of Custard the Dragon’ is a poem for children, by the American poet Ogden Nash (1902 – 1971), published in 1936.
The poem is about a little girl Belinda and her pets which includes a dragon. Everyone thought of the dragon as a coward, until one day he saves Belinda and her pets from a wicked pirate.
