It signifies the "rebirth of freedom-living thought, which during the Middle ages had been fettered and imprisoned by religious authority. A NEW SPIRIT was in circulation -- the spirit to know more of the world and it's Wonders. It was a period of the learning of Greco -Roman classics, revival of art and growth of humanism.
Renaissance in Europe became an intellectual movement and it brought New developments in the field of literature,religion, science and philosophy.
The factors for the growth of Renaissance in Europe are:
The capture of Constantinople by the Turks.
Decline of feudalism.
New trade routes between Europe and the East.
Humanism ie. the Spirit of Enquiry.
Invention of the printing press.
