  1. Asexual reproduction:- The mode of reproduction in which only one parent is required is called asexual reproduction . In this type of reproduction no fusion of male and female gametes take place .
  2. Sexual reproduction:- The mode of reproduction in which 2 parents (male and female) are required is called sexual reproduction. In this type of reproduction , fusion of male gamete or sperm and female gamete or ovum takes place in the formation of zygote .
