P-type semiconductor:
- An inherent semiconductor doped with boron (B) or indium is known as a p-type semiconductor. (In). Boron from Group III has three valence electrons, while silicon from Group IV has four.
- The semiconductor having holes as majority charqe carriers and electrons as a minority charge carrier is called as P-type semiconductor.
- The semiconductor having holes as majority charge carriers and electrons as a minority charge carrier is called as P-type semiconductor. When a trivalent impurity is doped in intrinsic semiconductor then we got P-type semiconductor.
