We know, the sum of all the interior angles of a quadrilateral = 360°

In the above figure, the interior angles are a1, a2, a3 and a4.

Then, a° + b° + c° + d ° + (a1 + a2 + a3 + a4) = 180° × 4

or, a° + b° + c° + d ° = 720° - 360° = 360°
