A. The sum of two angles is supplementary when their sum is equal to 90° .

Let the angle be x, so that the other angle will be 10° + x.

According to the question,

x + x + 10° = 90°

or, 2x = 90° - 10° = 80°

or, x = 80° / 2 = 40°

The measurement of the angles will be 40° and 10° + 40° = 50° respectively.

B. 1. angle P = 30° and PQ = PR, then angle Q = angle R because they are the angles on the equal sides of an isosceles triangle.

angle Q + angle R + angle P = 180° ( Angle Sum Property )

2 ( angle Q ) = 180° - 30° = 150°

or, angle Q = angle R = 150° / 2 = 75°

The measurement of angle Q and angle R is 75°.

2. Let the angle be m, so that

2m + 3m + 5m = 180° ( Angle Sum Property )

or, 10m = 180°

or, m = 180° / 10 = 18°

2m = 2(18°) = 36°

3m = 3(18°) = 54°

5m = 5(18°) = 90°

The type of triangle formed is a right angle triangle.

3. angle C = 180° - 115° = 65° ( Linear Pair )

angle A = 180° - ( 65° + 65° ) ( Angle Sum Property )

angle A = 180° - 130° = 50°

The measurement of angle A is 50° .
