Let first angle = x

Second angle = y

Then as they are complementry angles

So, x+y=90° - (i)

  • And it is given that x is 10° more than y
  • i.e, x = y+ 10° - (ii)

Now putting value of x from (ii) in (i)

So, x+y=90°

y+10°+y=90°

2y+10° = 90°

2y=90°-10°

2y=80°

y=80°÷2

y=40°

Now, again x+y=90°

x+40°=90°

x=90°-40°

x=50°
