Traders and merchants adopt multiple methods to earn more profit. Thus, to maximize the profit they adopt unfair measures to exploit buyers. Adulteration, Black marketing and under measurement are some of the methods adopted by sellers. The following are the measures can be taken to protect the consumers from exploitation:

1. Right to safety: customers have the right to be defended against the purchasing of goods which are dangerous to life and well-being.

2. Right to information: the consumers have the right to information about the quality, prices and the quantity of the product.

3. Right to choose: Consumers in the marketplace are a kind of leader who has all the rights and power of money. Therefore, should have the options to chose among the best quality and prices.

4. Right to be heard: The consumers should not be worried about using their consumer rights to file a case against the fraud.

5. Right to education: they should be well-informed about their rights and remedies available to them.

6. Right to redressal: standing machinery should be provided to the customers against the unfair

practices of shopkeepers.

7. Right to a healthy environment: the consumers have the right to live in a pollution free environment
