WHO(world health organisation) and DFID fight against discrimination of people living with HIV and AIDS. People have stigma for the people with these deseases that create discrimination. Stigma is a feeling that people have in their mind about a particular illness.HIV stigma and injustice ruin the human rights.

Stigma towards the people with HIV and AIDS can hurt a person mentally.

To stop all these discriminations DFID (Department for International Development) has done great efforts and they protect & promote the human rights.

People should not be discriminated simply on the ground that they suffer from HIV and AIDS.

HIV and AIDS are not contagious.

They do not spread from one person to another.

Therefore, people suffering from HIV and AIDS should be given equal opportunities in workplaces and other public places.

Many a time, people suffering from HIV and AIDS are seen to be denied treatment in hospitals and thrown out of their workplaces.
