Answer:

Explanation:

Media plays an important role in just common world . But most importantly it plays a salient role in the world of democracy . In modern socities , it is impossible to talk intelligently about democracy without considering the role played by media in disseminating political messages to public .

Creation of print , electronic and social media enhanced the connections between the government and the people . The relationship between democracy and media has been a topic of discussion ever since the emergence of liberal democratic theory in Europe.

Every liberal democracy has three pillars :

— Legislative : it’s work is to make laws

— Executive : it’s work is to implement laws

— Judiciary : work is to provide justice

However , media is considered as the “fourth pillar” of the democracy which do the work of supplying information to the public through mediums . Hence it is considered as an important base in democracy . It works like a bridge between the government and the people .

Now many things are connected with media . For example ‘Freedom of expression’ is a important concept in media . Basically if people are not allowed for freedom of expression , how can they express their feelings or tell their opinions on what’s going around the world or normally freedom to recieve general information about the government , then they are unable to make an appropiate move towards voting and choosing the government because they don’t even have basic normal knowlegde about anyone.

Media is considered as ‘eyes and ears’ of the public by monitoring and telling daily events happening around the world .Not always media is true and healthy for society but it is important . it’s main work is to provide correct information to the audience . Because obviously suppose media is biased and favors only one party , it’ll led to corruption and people will get mislead and also it creates a bid problem in smooth functioning of democracy . But in conclusion media provides information which led people to use their votes correctly and also allow people to give their opinions .

there is a lot of improvment to that should happen . still it’s providing a humongous amout of information to the people that is important .

Hence , it is also known as “watchdog of public”.
