Positional Measures are also known as Partition Values. Median is also such value which divides the given series in two equal parts. Similarly Quartiles divide the series in four equal parts.

Answer:

Median is the center of statistical assorted numbers.

Explanation:

How median is derived

In the procedure for finding median ,

the numbers are placed in their order of value Ie from the smallest value to the largest.

Example : If we had , 6,5,2,1,3,4

we reorder them to  1,2,3,4,5,6

After this we move straight to finding the number at the center .

For our case they are two , and they are 3, 4

When two numbers are in the middle , we add them and divide them by two ,

therefore our median will be    3+4= 7 later

we divide 7 into two to find 3.5

hence the median is 3.5

this is the middle number  for our case .

If the number of values was an odd number the median becomes one single number and it can be picked as the median.
