there is a formula that is average of n/2th and n/2+1th numbers
so,n/2 means 8/2=4th number
n/2+1=8/2+1=4+1=5th number
so average of 4th and 5th number
average of 7 and 11
(7+11)/2 =18/2
              =9
so,9 is the median of this data
