The median of first 50 natural numbers is 25.5

Step-by-step explanation:

To find: The median of first 50 natural number

N= 50 which is an even number

Therefore

The median for even number is given by

median= \dfrac{\dfrac{n}{2}^{th}+(\dfrac{n}{2}+1)^{th}}{2} = \dfrac{\dfrac{50}{2}^{th}+ (\dfrac{50}{2}+1)^{th}}{y} =\dfrac{25^{th}+26^{th}}{2}

For natural numbers

25th term is 25 and 26th term is 26

we get

median=\dfrac{25+26}{2} = 25.5

Therefore the median of first 50 natural numbers is 25.5
