Answer:

The number of boxes that a van of 800 kg can hold is 177 boxes.

To find:

The number of boxes that a van hold which cannot carry more than 800 kg.

Solution:

Weight of each box of medicine = 4 kg 500 g = 4000 g + 500 g = 4500 g.

Weight that the van can carry = 800 kg = 800 x 1000 g = 800000 g

∴ No. of boxes that the van carry

(800000g)/(4500g) = 177.78

equivalent to 177 boxes

Thus, the van can carry 177 boxes

Given :

Medicine is packed in boxes, each weighing 4 kg 500g.

ㅤㅤ

Find :

How many such boxes can be loaded in a van which cannot carry beyond 800 kg?

ㅤㅤ

We know that ,

We know the given medicine is 4kg 500g.

→ 4kg + 500g

→ 4000 + 500

→ 4500 g

ㅤㅤ

We know that given weight that van can carry is 800kg.

→ 800kg × 1000g

→ 800000g

ㅤㅤ

Applying formula :

★ Boxes = No.of boxes the van can carry/Weight of the medicines.

ㅤㅤ

Calculations :

→ 800000/4500

→ 177 boxes

ㅤㅤ

Therefore, the van can carry 177 such boxes.
