5kg=5×1000g=5000g

5kg+600g=5600g

maximum weight that van can load is

260kg=260×1000g=260000g

therefore maximum number of boxes are

260000÷5600= 46.4285714286

Answer:

47 boxes can be loaded in a van which cannot carry beyond 260 kg.

Explanation:

  • Weight of a Medicine box = 5 kg 600g = 5.6 kg
  • Maximum weight that a van can carry = 260 kg

Hence, Number of medicine boxes that van can carry = 260 ÷ 5.6

                                                                                          = 46.42857

i.e. 47 boxes where 46 boxes will be completely filled and 1 box will be partly filled.
