Malaria:

Malaria is a protozoa disease caused by \large{\rm{\underline{Plasmodium}}} which is the malarial parasite. It is transmitted through Infected Anopheles mosquito which are the carrier of Malarial parasite. It's life cycle passes in both man, and the mosquito, in man it undergoes the asexual cycle and in mosquito, it undergoes sexual cycle. Hence, both man and mosquito are important for the parasite.

Symptoms:

The disease may cause fever and body aches. The body may feel cold and starts shivering. The respiration rate and heartbeat rises. Sweating occurs. Internally, our spleen enlarged, and anaemia can occur.

❇ How to control or prevent?

For preventing malaria, we should always keep in mind, to live in a neat and clean environment. Water should be purified and stagnation of water should not occur anyway.

  • Using mosquito repellents, coils, mosquito nets and screening of house helps in individual protection from Vector(Mosquitoes).
  • Stagnant water leads to the breeding of mosquitoes, so we should add kerosene oil in it or release larvae eating fishes to kill the larvae of mosquitoes.
