Given :-

  • ₹2000 is being withdrawn by Meena.
  • She asked to give her ₹50 and ₹100 notes.
  • The manager gave her 25 notes.

To find :-

  • The number of ₹50 and ₹100 she got =??

  \sf { \underline{ \green{ ✧ \purple   A \red n \orange s \pink w  \blue e  \green r:  -}}}

  • \rm{\underline{Number of ₹50 notes = 10}}
  • \rm{\underline{Number of ₹100 notes = 15}}

Step by step Explanation

  • Let's assume that the no. of ₹50 notes and ₹100 notes is x and y respectively.

 \bf \therefore \: the \: total \: no. \: of \: notes  \\ \bf \:  \implies \:x + y \:  = 25(given).  .......(i)

  • Total money meena has :-

50x + 100y = ₹2000(given)

On Simplification,

 \bf \implies  \cancel{50}(x + 2y) =  \cancel{₹2000} \\  \bf \implies \: x + 2y = 40.   ......(ii)

Now, subtraction of both equation :-

 \bf  \cancel x + y = 25 \: \\  \bf   -{ \underline{\cancel x  -  2y =  - 40}} \\ \bf \implies \cancel - y =  \cancel - 15 \\  \bf \therefore \: y = 15

Putting the value of y in equation (i) :-

 \bf \implies \: x + 15 = 25 \\  \bf \implies \: x = 10

 \bf {  \boxed{ \boxed{\therefore \bf number \: of \:₹ 50 \: notes \:  = 10}}} \\  { \boxed{ \boxed{\bf \therefore \: number \: of \:₹ 100 \: notes \:  = 15}}}
