meena went to a bank to withdraw rupees 2000 she asked the cashier to give her rupees 50 and rupees 100 notes only meena got 25 notes in all find how many notes of Rupees 50 and 100 she received​

Let no. of 50 Rs notes = x

  and no. of 100 Rs notes = y

first case,

50x + 100y = 2000

x  + 2y = 40

x = 40 - 2y --------1

second case,

x + y = 25

40 - 2y + y = 25 (using 1)

y = 15

from 1

x = 40 - 2 x 15

x = 10

Hence, no. of 50 Rs notes is 10 and that of 100 Rs notes is 15
