The sky appears blue due to reflection of light. It is because the blue color is scattered by air molecules in the atmosphere. Blue color appears as small molecules of short wavelength.

because the sun's light gets refracted from the atmosphere and splits into a spectrum due to the difference in wavelength of the colours due to which only blue colour is visible to us
