Meera bought 20 pairs of socks at ₹ 300 per pair. She sold 15 pairs at ₹ 350 per pair and
the remaining at ₹ 280 per pair .Find her gain or loss percent.

Each pair = 300 rs

Total pairs bought = 20

Total cost = 20 * 300 = 6000 Rs.

Sells ,

Sp of 15 pairs = 15 * 350 = 5250 Rs.

Sp of remaining = 5 * 280 = 1400 Rs.

Total amount when sold = 5250 + 1400 = 6650 Rs.

As we know when SP > CP , its gain

Gain % = Gain / CP * 100

Gain % = (6650 - 6000) * 100 / 6000

Gain % = 65000 / 6000

Gain % = 10.83 %
