Let Meera's age be x

Let her mother's age be 4x

According to the question,

4x + 5 = 3(x + 5)

4x + 5 = 3x + 15

4x - 3x = 15 - 5

x = 10

\therefore{Age \: of \: Meera \: = \: 10 \: years}

\therefore{Age \: of \: her \: mother <br /><br />=&gt; 4x <br /><br />=&gt; 4 \: × \: 10 <br /><br />=&gt; 40 \: years}

let meera's age is x
so her mother's age will be 4x
after 5 yrs....
meera's age will be X+5
mother's age Will be 4x+5
and now 4x+5= 3(X+5)
4x+5= 3x+15
4x-3x=15-5
X=10
so meera's age is now 10 yrs
and her mother's age is now 4*10= 40 yrs...
I hope you like it and understand it....
