Step-by-step explanation:

let present age of Meera =x years

Let present age of Meera's mother =y years

After five years age of Meera =(x+5) years

After five years age of Meera's mother =(y+5) years

According to problem,

y=4x …………..(1)

y+5=3(x+5) ………(2)

Put (1) in (2), we get

4x+5=3x+15

4x−3x=15−5

x=10

y=40

∴ Meera's present age =10 years

Meera's mother's present age =40 years.

Answer:

Meera's age = 10

Meera's mother's age = 40

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Meera's age be x

So, Meera's mother's age = 4x

After 5 years,

Meera's age = x + 5

Meera's mother's age = 4x + 5

According To Question,

⇒ 4x + 5 = 3 × (

⇒ 4x + 5 = 3

⇒ 4x - 3

x = 10

∴ Meera's age = x = 10

  Meera's mother's age = 4x = 4 × 10 = 40
