Let the meera' s mother age is x and Meera's age is y .....
Now , Acc.to the question
x = 4 y -------- (1)
After 5 years
x + 5 = y +5
So according to the question.....
x + 5 = 3 ( y + 5 )
x+ 5 = 3y + 15
x - 3y = 10 --------- (2)
By the use of substitute method.... then we get
Put x = 4 y ( from equation 1st )
So it will be
4y - 3y = 10
y = 10

Put the value of y in equation 1st., then we get the value of x....
x = 4y
x= 4 (10)
x= 40
____________________
So The Present age of Meera's mother is 40 years
and The Present age of Meera is 10 years.....
