Explanation:

\huge\underline{\underline{\sf ANSWER}} \\  \huge \: hey.....

u = distance of object = -18cm

(remember u is always negative)

h2 = height of image = 4

v = image distance = 14.4

We know one formula..

magnification =  \frac{ - v}{u}  \\ m =  \frac{ - 14.4}{ - 18}  \\ m = 0.8

m =  \frac{h1}{h2}

0.8 =  \frac{h1}{4}  \\ h1 = 3.2

Where h1 = height of object.....

Answer:

+5cm

Explanation:

We know that

hi/ho = -v/u

So,

ho= (hi x u)/ho

ho= (-4 x -18)/14.4

ho= 5
