Meghalaya and rajasthan lie on the same latitude but the former recieves excessively high rainfall whereas the latter receives merely 10 cm of annual rainfall. Give reasons to support this statement

As Meghalaya has a lot of mountains so clouds get colide with the mountains and burst to form rain but in Rajasthan there are less no of mountains and therefore there is less rain in Rajasthan
